Saint Joseph Primary School is established in the year 2016. The President of St. Alphonsus Education Society Bareilly in the annual general body meeting decided to open new school at Bageshwar . The name of school was also decided in the same meeting .On 12th of January Fr. Maurice Desa was appointed first Principal of the school .On 14thJanuary 2016 Most Rev. Bishop IgnatiusD’soza, President of St. Alphosus education society, together with Most Rev. Anthony Fernandes Bishop Emeritus visited site to install the first principal and workout the modalities of starting the school by April 2016.
In the same year 15th of February initial plan to start Nursery, lower K.G. and Upper K.G was finalized. At this time a suitable rented building was hired for a year near the site of present school. With support of local people initial hurdle were overcome and school admission began in March.

Blessing and Inauguration of Kindergarten Section

Saint Joseph preparatory school was blessed by Most Rev. Bishop Ignatius D’suza Bishop of Catholic Diocese of Bareilly. He invoked God’s Blessing on 25 Children,3 sisters of UFS congregation who readily shared the responsibility of teaching the children in the school. The Chief Development Officer of Bageshwer District inaugurated the School in the presence of parents, children and well-wishes of the city , with large number of principals from many schools run by the society.
There was a steady growth in the numbers of students. By July 10th there were 44 children enrolled in the school. These children were well molded by the Rev. Sisters within few months. On October 2nd they performed dance a tableau in honor of Mahatma Gandhi, the father of our Nation and Mother Theresa.
The Carrols and the Christmas play were staged by children for Christmas 2016. On this occasion, the Superindent of Police Bageshwar District in appreciation sponsored a festive meal and shared the meal with the children.
On 30th of March 2017 , Saint Joseph primary School received the recognition . The District Education Officer for Elementary Bageshwar issued a certificate of recognition for St. Joseph Primary School for 5 year from !st April 2017. In the first week of April the school was upgraded to second standard. Now Saint Joseph School has reached 3rd standard in the year 2018. We look for support and encouragement from parents and the citizens of Bageshwer for the year to come.
